Knox Bradley Mechanical Contractors, Inc. (KBM) is a Tennessee corporation of personnel with more than 150 years of collective experience serving the commercial and industrial heating, ventilating and air conditioning needs of Tennessee, southwest Virginia and southeastern Kentucky. We are licensed electrical and mechanical contractors.

KBM's specialty is direct digital controls (DDC), and our current personnel have more than 100 years experience in the design and installation of all types of control systems. We specialize in finding solutions to non-functioning or "sick" jobs and placing them in correct operation.

KBM utilizes "state-of-the-art" technology for design of the most successful systems. We utilize the appropriate equipment to fit the need as a main criteria; therefore, we utilize many different brands of equipment. Our primary suppliers are Automated Logic Corporation, Seibe, Johnson Controls, and Invensys. We can provide the most sophisticated functional direct digital controls for any project. We currently have more than 20 million dollars of Automated Logic Controls installed in our service area.

KBM has fully qualified maintenance personnel to repair chillers from 1/2 ton reciprocating refrigeration up to 1000 ton centrifugal refrigeration machines. We have successfully retrofitted older chillers to the new refrigerants. We have also done several plate heat exchangers for energy efficiency. Our service department provides maintenance contracts for full HVAC maintenance as well as specific items such as chillers, boilers, and large AHU's.

KBM has been recognized by ASHRAE for several successful installations of energy efficient systems and controls. The most recent recognition was for design and control of a system that included a thermal storage unit, lighting control, electronic controls, and monitoring of critical areas for alarms. We have recently completed installation of controls for a 400 ton geothermal heat pump system in a school. We worked with TVA to devise a monitoring system to ascertain the exact BTU energy consumption for the facility. To date we have reduced total energy consumption by almost 50% of the original all electric unit ventilators.

KBM is a woman owned business that is certified as a “Certified Diversity Company”  through the Tennessee Governor’s Office of Diversity Business Enterprise. KBM is currently associated with the Knoxville Minority Business Enterprise and is certified through the City of Knoxville as a woman owned small business allowing KBM to compete successfully for state and local expenditures.
